Lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered?

Step Out

Being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered (LGBT) is often seen as a problem, but it doesn’t have to be.

If you are LGBT or think you might be there are places you can go to talk about issues that concern you, including:

  • Bullying or homophobia
  • Coming out
  • Your rights
  • Meeting friends

Step Out @ Step Forward

The Step Out Project at STEP FORWARD is a free and confidential service for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered young people and those questioning their sexuality. They provide both individual support and group work activities in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.

You can receive advice and support on a range of issues that may be affecting your lives such as; coming out, relationships, your identity, cultural and religious issues, your family and friends and anything else you may want to discuss. You will be able to access both 1-2-1 support and get the opportunity to meet other young people at our weekly social and support group. Talk with someone about both issues relating to your sexual identity as well as those regarding any aspect of your life.

Give Step Out a call or drop-in to find out more details or to make an appointment.
