The Outdoor Education Team are approved to operate by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority. This means we comply with nationally recognised standards for good practice in the standard of equipment, staff competence and operating procedures we use.
Safety Statements
1. The Urban Adventure Base provides a support service to groups who want to provide trips and activities to young people. The primary responsibility for ensuring that the young people on these activity trips are safe rests with the organisers who must ensure that procedures are in place to check this. Guidance is available from the UAB, and we will examine your proposed arrangements and make recommendations, however the responsibility remains with the organisation.
The Urban Adventure Base has produced a general statement on the safety of participants engaged in challenging activities with us.
